Located in Washington, DC, Cranes is a restaurant that brings together the flavors of Japan and Spain on one plate. From their inventive menu celebrating Japanese ingredients and Spanish techniques to the gracefully designed space and thoughtful hospitality, Cranes is the complete experience.

This unexpected cultural fusion is a common thread throughout the visual identity. We designed an elegant, understated logotype and combined the circles and stripes from each country’s flag to create a system of bold, versatile patterns with textures inspired by Japanese woodblock prints and polka dots reminiscent of the flamenco dress.
